Her performance received critical acclaim as well as a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on TV. She reprised the role in the 2014 film as well as the new season in the year 2019. While in Veronica Mars, Bell starred as Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) The film was a reprise of the role she previously played in the New York musical of the same name.Bell starred as Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 to the year 2008. Bell voiced the narrator in the title role on the Teen Drama Series Gossip Girl. She will reprise her role in the sequel in 2021. Bell also appeared as Jeannie van der Hooven, who played the female lead on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. She also acted as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This part was nominated for an Golden Globe Award. Bell also played the role of Eleanor Shellstrop in the streaming series The Woman in the Home The Girl in the Window Across the Street Girl in the Window.
