Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. Also, she was co-starring with Prince in his 1984 film Purple Rain. Her name was associated with her as the co-star of Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain, and the lead singer of the girl group Apollonia 6 In the 80s, the singer-actress Prince was christened Apollonia to be one of many female musicians that gained by their connection with Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter half of the '70s. This included an appearance on CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first role that she played in the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name during this time. She replaced Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 who performed in the film in the role of Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. The three scored a minor success with the film Sex Shooter, but it was in the role of Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she had more of an impact on charts. When the two had a falling out over the direction of her career Apollonia six broke up and Kotero ended her association with Prince. She then appeared in a handful of minor movies during the 80s (reportedly not accepting an opportunity to play in the Purple Rain-follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) prior to settling for an evening-time part in the dramatic Falcon Crest in 1985-1986. Apollonia had the opportunity to make her debut album available in 1988. Unfortunately, it did not leave an lasting impression on music lovers and was soon obliterated from the spotlight. The singer remained busy (if slightly underneath the radar) as an actress during the ensuing decade with small television roles and minor films and even issued the exercise film.
