Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, the American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her performances on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She graduated with a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a producer and American actress active in theatre as well as television and film. She began her career as an actress in theatre and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, both mainstream and independent films. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also received a number of awards. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut in The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role on television on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her praises.
